The Film Black Friday, LLC, is a company started by Ric Mathis an acclaimed independent visual storyteller adept in areas of photojournalism and video production. To the company’s credit are two documentary films Black Friday, "What Legacy Will You Leave", the follow-up Black Friday 2, “The Living Legacy World Tour”, and the creator of children’s book titled “7 Things Every Kid Should Know About Money”.

 

Black Friday, "What Legacy Will You Leave" takes an in depth look into the spending habits of African-Americans in America. The film chronicles the financial mis-education of many African-Americans and explores the economic pitfalls that continue to derail the progress of the community-at-large. In an effort to heighten the economic awareness and financial responsibility in the community, the film, Black Friday, presents solutions on how to better manage the $1.2 Trillion dollars that leaves African-American communities annually. In addition, the film champions the importance of leaving a financial and ethical legacy for the next generation.  

 

Black Friday 2 “The Living Legacy World Tour”  is a film that chronicles Ric Mathis’ personal journey around the globe, inspiring people to embrace their Global Living Legacy. Kennedy Stewart a 10 year old entrepreneur narrates this journey, which celebrates black women as the fastest growing group of entrepreneurs in America. This Film offers 7 practical principles to build a financial and ethical living legacy. 

 

In 2018 Ric Mathis put out his first children’s book titled “7 Things Every Kid Should Know About Money” This book parallels the 7 practical principles featured in the film Black Friday vol. 2. Using examples and illustrations featured in the film, from some the world’s top money experts. The Kid’s Money Book is a thorough financial guide for kids featuring the latest information and fresh, fun illustrations. It explains how to create a budget, make big bucks, invest your earnings, and donate to charitable organizations that directly benefit their community.
