KELLI PARDO

KELLI PARDO

Kelli is a life-long learner.  Her daughter was 8 years old when she finally completed her bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Florida Tech.  It wasn’t easy.  She could have easily decided not to finish her degree and pursue other options.  Kelli has spent the last 15 years of her career working on projects to support data privacy, data analysis, and personalized learning.  In 2004, Kelli was part of the team that created a statewide data warehouse and unique ID system to move Georgia schools away from using social security numbers to using a non-personally identifiable number called a Georgia Test ID (GTID). She was also the Scrum Master for the Statewide Longitudinal Data Systems (SLDS) and the Georgia Student Growth Model.  SLDS is a free application that was designed to help educators make data-driven decisions to improve student learning. Kelli has also owned her own IT company and was a contractor for the GA Department of Education.  Now Kelli manages an international development team for a company called itslearning. She has the most years of service at itslearning in the U.S. office.  Her team works with education companies to integrate resources that support personalized learning by providing interactive resources for visual and kinesthetic learners, audio resources for auditory learners, and so on.  The majority of the resources are integrated via Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI).  The work of her team has allowed many school districts to receive Learning Impact Awards from IMS Global in 2017 and 2018.
During the past year Kelli has visited Norway, China, and Panama. Kelli is a firm believer in getting out of the classroom to enjoy real life experiences.   She recently obtained her Executive MBA from GA Tech in December 2018.  She also obtained a Global Leadership certificate from Beijing University during her visit to China last spring.  Kelli is a proud Georgia Tech Executive MBA student ambassador.  She assists with the recruitment process for future EMBA students.  She loves talking to people about balancing family, work, and personal growth.
